In 2022 alone, the company managed over  165,000 assets valued at more than  20 billion euros, selling over  27,000 units. Their existing infrastructure was handling a massive volume of data, with around 1,000 tables in the corporate data warehouse and over 3,000 analytical processes connected to this data. They needed to migrate not only the databases but also the linked analytics processes to ensure seamless operations. 

Why Snowflake?

The implementation of Snowflake allowed Servihabitat to perform end-to-end tracking of their assets, which is crucial for improving the speed and agility of their large-scale commercial operations. Snowflake’s cloud-based architecture operates on a pay-per-use basis, offering the flexibility needed to scale operations based on demand while keeping costs down.

The Migration Process

Servihabitat’s migration to Snowflake was carried out in two phases. In the first phase, the company migrated their database, corporate data warehouse, and data loading and modeling processes. In the second phase, they focused on migrating business processes.
