For the second consecutive year, Clariba organized the campaign - Minutes for a cause. This year, the entire team managed to sum up more than 30,000 minutes of sports activities during the past 2 months. Thanks to the participation of our wonderful team from different offices in Turkey, Barcelona, Madrid, Dubai, Qatar and Canada, we have reached the goal of raising the total donation for the Children Heroes Foundation and their Future Game project in Sierra Leone.
The team added up minutes by going for walks, snowshoeing, exercising in the gym, cycling, jogging, trekking, swimming, dancing and more.
The purpose of the Child Heroes Foundation is to provide knowledge & learning opportunities to street children aged 15-19, mostly victims of abuse, sexual abuse, and prostitution, with skills in blacksmithing, carpentry, recycling, and design to build playground equipment for Sierra Leone's playgrounds.
The playgrounds have a pedal carousel, four pinballs made from reused materials, two swings, a house structure with two slides, an elephant, and a maze with a shock absorber.
The aim of this initiative is to reintegrate these children into the labour market and society, and to bring playground equipment to more than 500 children living in vulnerable areas. In addition, the project will become completely self-sustainable and can continue without external financial support.
This second edition of our Minutes for a Cause campaign follows the success of our previous initiative. In fact, this year our initiative has been very well received, increasing the number of minutes and the donation; all this thanks to the participation and commitment of our team.
