And It’s GOOOOLD! SAP Quality Awards for Innovation - Awarded to FIGC and its partner Clariba
Another week, another trip, another award for Football!
We just made it back from the Aspire Summit in Doha and here we are again at another great event in Milan for the SAP NOW – SAP Quality Awards. On the heels of being told that Clariba was among the winners of the Innovation category, we are excited to announce that we received the top level - SAP Quality Award Gold it is!
Changing the Game in Professional Football
Allow me to comment that this project has probably changed how football performance will be managed for generations to come! It has opened the door to unprecedented insights gained from 360 degree quantitative and qualitative sports performance data. The FIGC Football Data Integration (FDI360) solution provides direct connectivity to STATSPerform cameras, K-Sport & GPEXE GPS devices, Calciotel, the Italian Federal Player Databases and other sources. At the same time, FDI 360 allows trainers to design/track trainings & tests, match analysts can mark major events during matches, coaches can create call-ups, line-ups and decide whom to position in a specific match, while doctors and nutritionists can insert diagnosis and plans for the football players. By providing a fully digital end-to-end football performance solution, FDI360 is a true digital disruptor in the world of professional football.
FIGC and Clariba – a strong team
The project was sponsored by Professor Valter di Salvo – Head of Football Performance & Science FIGC, directed by Maria Carmela Corrado VP IT FIGC and developed in collaboration with our team, led by Magí Sanchón, Clariba Project Manager act-in | solutions. The joint team worked tirelessly over 20,000-man hours to deliver a best-in-class 360 degree football performance solution that is unique and extremely comprehensive. Thanks to the great coordination from all angles, the entire team delivered a successful project yet again!
From my side I cannot be prouder of this achievement. I take the opportunity to thank the entire team at FIGC with Prof. Valter di Salvo, Maria Carmela Corrado, Mattia Modunutti, Francesca Sanzone and everyone involved and of course across the entire Clariba team. A big thanks also goes to key players at SAP that have helped make this possible - André Russel, Ulas Guzelbayir and Stephan Kösters. Only with the tireless efforts were we able to deliver this solution and achieve the SAP Quality Award. The innovation award and that a gold winner, is what all of you stand for! Thank you.
What’s next?
To continue driving innovation in football performance & science for the benefit of the sport in Italy, FIGC and its technology partner Clariba have signed a partnership agreement that will further enhance our cooperation for the years to come. Our aim is to not only enhance football performance in professional football, but also to provide these capabilities at the youth sport and academy level to ensure a solid pipeline of athletes well into the future and herewith ensure the success of Italian football for generations ahead.
